God Is Good… Even on the Days You’re Tired

This morning, I woke up exhausted. Not just a little tired, but the kind of tired that makes you question every decision you made the night before. The alarm went off, and I already felt behind.

As I got ready for work, I could feel it, I was dragging. Low energy, low motivation, just trying to get moving.

But like I usually do, I started to pray.

Nothing complicated. Just a simple, honest prayer:

“God, thank You for another good day.”

And in that moment, something shifted.

The truth is simple:

It’s easy to thank God when life feels good.

When you’re playing a round of golf at your favorite course.

When you’re relaxing on a beach somewhere on the California coast.

When you’re spending time with your family, enjoying a break from work.

Gratitude comes naturally in those moments.

But what about the ordinary days?

The early mornings.

The long workdays.

The routines that don’t feel exciting.

Somewhere along the way, we’ve trained ourselves to recognize God’s goodness in the big moments, but overlook Him in the everyday ones.

Recognizing Gods Goodness:

God is not only good in the highlights of life.

God is good in every moment.

God is good when you wake up with breath in your lungs, even if you’re tired.

God is good on your way to work, even if you don’t feel like going.

God is good after a long day, when you come home to a hot shower, food on the table, and a place to rest.

These things may feel ordinary, but they are not.

They are daily reminders of His grace and provision.

So today, don’t wait for a perfect moment to thank God.

Thank Him in the routine.

Thank Him in the quiet moments.

Thank Him in the things you’ve started to take for granted.

Because through the good and the bad, God is good. All the time, God is good.

Psalm 145:9

“The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.”
